Being a Professional Detailing Specialist in the Car Cleaning industry I want to take this opportunity to offer you some advice.
It is important to understand the difference between CLEANING, SANITISING & DISINFECTING.
CLEANING: Removes majority of the dirt & bacteria from surfaces but does not necessarily kill all the bacteria. It simply removes a large number of bacteria from the surface.
SANITISING: Removes majority of the bacteria from surfaces to a safe number, but does not kill all the bacteria.
DISINFECTANT: Totally kills the bacteria rather than removing or reducing the bacteria.
Now that you understand the difference between cleaning, sanitising & disinfecting you need to understand how to disinfect surfaces properly.
You need to CLEAN FIRST and then DISINFECT.
CLEANING & SANITISING is much easier than DISINFECTING. Simply apply the product and wipe off. Job done.
However when it comes to disinfecting (killing the bacteria) a surface you must read the instructions on the back. You can’t just apply and remove the product straight away. You have to let the product sit on the surface in order for it to kill all the bacteria. Time can vary between 3-15 minutes depending on the choice of product.
Although we have upgraded all our standard services to include FREE SANITISING the common areas that gather bacteria, we recommend our “EXTREME DEEP CLEANING” on the interior where we use STEAM to disinfect all surfaces. We believe STEAM CLEANING is one of the best methods for DISINFECTING.
